Brother Laser Printer: Quiet the Deal

You may be feeling a little weird and skeptic before taking the plunge while buying one of these Brother Laser Printers. You may be wondering how do they do it? How can this company give you 23 pages per minute printing rate, built in Wi-Fi, and still sell at such a low price? Well, to be precise, there isn’t any catch. It’s just that Brother Laser Printers have a little bit of compromise under their belt but quality and promise wise, there’s no one better than them in the market. To begin with, unlike most budget printers, which may or may not offer a built in Wi-Fi, the Brother Laser Printer Wi-Fi is a cake walk when setting it up. It works perfectly with a desktop and a notebook. There seems to be no problem whatsoever and the print comes out quiet nice. Here are the compromises mentioned earlier.

The printer makes a lot of noise while printing. It is no doubt very loud. This noise lasts even after the print has been completed for about 5 more minutes or so until the printer automatically switches to power saver mode. There is no LCD installed on the printer as well. All there is are three LED lights, o e for Toner, one for Drum and the last one for Error. These light up whenever there is a paper jam in the printer, need service and repairing or when you need to add more paper. It even detects whether you have closed the lid properly or not, if you haven’t then the light glows as well. To be on precise, the error detection of the Brother Laser Printer is actually pretty good and you shouldn’t be expecting any better from something for such a low price. There’s another compromise.

Brother Laser printers do not come with a printed manual which may make the task of setting up things for the less hardware savvy crowd. They provide a PDF and HTML documents where things are relatively quiet technical in terms. However, this doesn’t make the task any difficult because a simple follow up helps in setting up the printer and all its functions like Wi-Fi through Ethernet cables. The overall print speed of these Brother Laser Printers was remarkable. Certainly not the kind of speed you would expect out of such an inexpensive printer. It does take about 19 seconds to warm up from the cold state and starts churning out the prints, of really good quality and detail, in reasonable time, depending on the number of prints of course. However, the final cut and compromise for Brother Laser Printer would be the competition in the market. It has been mentioned in this article that the print quality is good but it is definitely not as good as most other laser printers. There’s the price catch and the functions too. All this makes Brother Laser Printer a smart buy but compromising on quality is something you have to deal with.
